Act 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both Do and TEACH...
Perhaps, one of the major temptations faced by a lot of young Christians of today (myself Inclusive) is teaching what you yourself have not love's out as ur own reality. Its no doubt that evidences from the scriptures shows that we are undoubtedly in the last days and according to d Daniel 12:4 ...knowledge shall be increased. Many consider the end time as all negative but my optimism won't let me. Indeed a lot of knowledge as been seen on display amongst young folks particularly in the areas of scriptural understanding, but I tell u, d deception d enemy will bring is making that knowledge drive u to d place of teaching it prematurely and hence leading to shame when told to demonstrate it.
Jesus began to Do first before He Taught, he basically taught what He had prior lived out, that's why he could teach faith, cos He lived faith, He could teach giving, cos He gave. He could teach prosperity, He was prospering. He could teach the kingdom,He of course was living the kingdom!
Many of us gain knowledge that we haven't used and we anxiously want to pass it across without letting it work for us and instead of getting people blessed we get them confused cos we are trying to give what isn't truly ours.
A wise man once said " ... You don't truly know it until it has worked for you". Knowledge not used isn't knowledge yet, it is just information in a sense knowledge format.
So this is my challenge to us all, we young folks chasing after knowledge, let that knowledge become your reality before you preach it.
*Black eyed peas* in a song asked this question which I think applies here, "Do you practice what you preach? "
I live you with that thought.
